What is a Paloma?

What is a Paloma? A Paloma is Mexico’s number one cocktail. I bet you thought it was a margarita, but you’d be wrong. A margarita is THE WORLD’S number one cocktail. Tell that to your friend who tried some bad tequila once in college and swears they’re allergic to it.

Paloma means “Dove” in Spanish. Presumably because the birds were big time booze hounds and could each handle a round or two.

A Paloma is a mixture of tequila, grapefruit, and soda water. The ratios are dependent on the drinker’s taste buds, but we’ll standby the grapefruit needing to be ruby red. Don’t come at us with that tart white grapefruit stuff.

Many skilled bartenders have added their unique flair to this combination throughout the years. The addition of lime is very common as is combining the grapefruit and soda water. Ever heard of Squirt? The Paloma certainly has.

We at Superbird believe in using natural ingredients just like mother nature intended. So we stick with 100% blue weber agave tequila, fresh squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice, agave nectar, and the finest sparkling water. Call us purists, but we just want the best. Now you can have it too, with Superbird.
